Who we are
FinBharath (“we”, “us”) operates the website finbharath.com. The Service is operated by Satya Kiran (sole proprietor), based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, who is the data fiduciary for the purposes of this policy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. It is written for compliance with India’s Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account data: Your name and email when you sign in via Google or email/password (handled through Firebase Authentication).
- Learning data: Lessons completed, quiz answers, and progress, stored under your account in Firebase Firestore.
- Payment data: When you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive only the order ID, payment ID, and signature; we do not see or store your card number, UPI ID, CVV, or banking credentials.
- Technical data: Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
Why we collect it
- To create and maintain your account and let you sign in.
- To track your progress through the curriculum and resume where you left off.
- To process your one-time Pro payment and grant you access.
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the Service secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the third-party processors required to run the Service:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, hosting infrastructure).
- Razorpay for payment processing.
- Vercel for application hosting.
Each of these processors has its own privacy policy and processes your data on our behalf. We may also disclose data if required by law or a valid legal request from Indian authorities.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries: a session token to keep you signed in, and a preference token if applicable. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the paid product. If we add analytics in future (e.g. Google Analytics), this policy will be updated.
How long we keep your data
Account and learning data are retained for as long as your account is active. Payment records are retained for a minimum of 8 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see “Your rights” below).
How we protect it
We use HTTPS in transit, Firebase’s server-side security rules, and server-side payment signature verification. No system is perfectly secure; you should use a strong, unique password and not share it.

- Access the personal data we hold about you.
